The dissolution process of pam polyacrylamide is the same as that of typical polymers, which swells first and then dissolves. People have been committed to the research and development of instant products. The dissolution rate of pam polyacrylamide is related to its molecular weight, ionicity, molecular geometry, product formulation, dissolution temperature, stirring and feeding methods.
The dissolution rate slows down as the molecular weight increases and the degree of chemical crosslinking increases. The overall crosslinking will make the pam polyacrylamide only swell and not dissolve. In the manufacturing process of powder products, high drying temperature and long drying time will cause the product to melt partially or lightly crosslink and prolong the dissolution time or even partially insoluble matter.
The dissolution time of various pam polyacrylamide product formulations varies greatly, typically 20-120min for powder type, 20-120min for hydrosol type (concentration 5 per cent -10 per cent), 3-5min for emulsion type, and 5-lOmin for water dispersion type. The pam polyacrylamide of solid powder is usually more soluble than the pam polyacrylamide of hydrosol plastic because the former has a larger contact area with water. The dissolution rate increases with decreasing particle diameter in the 2.5 power relationship; loose solid powder pam polyacrylamide dissolve more quickly than dense ones. The method of feeding the dissolved powder product is critical. The correct way is to gradually put the powder into the stirred water to prevent agglomeration. The dissolution time will be prolonged if the particles agglomerate. Polyacrylamide has a high water absorption rate, and powder products are prone to absorbing moisture or agglomerating in water, both of which must be avoided.
The products of SINOFLOC chemical polyacrylamide suppliers are widely used in various fields, including oil and gas, municipal and industrial water treatment, mining, paper and sugar industries. We provide polyacrylamide, polydimethylsiloxane, polyamine, and decolorizing agents to the industries we serve in addition to polyacrylamide. After more than ten years of development and growth, we have two facilities with an annual output of 100,000 tons of flocculant and coagulant.
