Different Polyacrylamide for Different Uses

One of the well-known uses of polyacrylamide flocculants is water purification. In fact, because polyacrylamide is a polymer compound, its use is not only used in water purification. There are also many derivatives of polyacrylamide, with different types and kinds. In all industries, polyacrylamide is used for water purification. In fact, it also has other uses. Here I would like to remind you that choosing polyacrylamide powder also has different requirements according to different uses.

1. Use different polyacrylamide flocculants for different uses

Under normal circumstances, when users choose polyacrylamide product types, we will first see what industry it is and choose different models of polyacrylamide flocculant for you according to different water quality. If it is sewage, it is papermaking, printing and dyeing or domestic sewage, etc. In addition, the user will be asked whether the anion or cation type is used on the spot; in addition, the user will be asked whether it is used for sludge dehydration or sewage settlement.

2. Polyacrylamide flocculant for sewage settlement

Generally speaking, if the flocculation and sedimentation of sewage is carried out, polyacrylamide anionic or non-ionic polyacrylamide are selected. Some also need to be used with inorganic flocculants polyaluminium chloride or polyaluminum sulfate according to the actual process. When choosing polyacrylamide, pay attention to the pH range applicable to the produced polyacrylamide. Anions are suitable for PH in 6-9. If the PH value is less than 6, it is better to choose nonionic polyacrylamide. Sometimes cationic polyacrylamide is also used, which depends on the water quality on the spot.

3. Polyacrylamide flocculant for sludge dehydration

If it is sludge dehydrated, cationic polyacrylamide is mostly used. The cationic molecular weight is low, it has good water filtration, and the moisture content of mud cake is low. Relatively speaking, it is more suitable for sludge dehydration treatment than anions. Generally speaking, whether to use anionic and cationic polyacrylamide powders need to be determined by experimental selection.
