Do you know the industrial use of polyacrylamide flocculant? Polyacrylamide products are mainly used as coagulation aids or flocculants in the treatment of industrial wastewater. The molecular chain contains a certain amount of polar genes which can absorb solid particles suspended in water and bridge between particles to form large flocs. It can accelerate the sedimentation of particles in the suspension with a very obvious effect of speeding up the clarification of the solution, and promoting filtration. Polyacrylamide is used in the treatment of chemical industrial wastewater and waste liquid.
Polyacrylamide flocculant is used in thickening, stabilizing colloids, drag reduction, bonding, film formation, biomedical materials, etc.. It is used as coagulant, flocculant and sludge dehydrating agent in water treatment, precipitation agent and oil displacing agent in oil drilling and production and a retention aid and reinforcing agent in the papermaking process.
The types of polyacrylamide are divided into anionic, cationic, non-ionic and zwitterionic types. In wastewater treatment, polyacrylamide flocculants are used to improve the efficiency of sedimentation, clarification, filtration, and centrifugation in the water treatment process.
