SINOFLOC DT 9619 is with very high molecular weight, powder based, to be used in alumina plants to settle red mud slurries of extraction of aluminium. It contains anionic polyacrylamide functional groups with high anionic charge.

SINOFLOC DT 991 is with high molecular weight, emulsion based, to be used in used to settle mud in the red mud washing circuit of refining aluminium. These products are a combination of acrylamide and acrylate with very high anionic charge.

Application Area:

The Selection of Polyacrylamide in Mining

There are four kinds of ionic types of polyacrylamide, and there are different levels of species under each ionic type. What type of polyacrylamide can be applied to mineral processing industry? Polyacrylamide can be widely used in mining process, such as copper ore, iron ore, gold flotation and tailings water treatment, coal washing, flocculation and water treatment, starch and distiller's grains recovery in starch factories and alcohol factories. The experiment was carried out on the selection of anionic polyacrylamide wastewater. It was found that the experimental results were obvious. High grade iron ore is obtained by selection of low grade iron ore (wet screening, gravity dressing, magnetic separation and flotation). The ore dressing is mainly polluted by waste water and waste residue. In the lead and zinc filtration process, anionic polyacrylamide is used to accelerate the settling of minerals and clarify the filtrate, improve the efficiency of production and reduce the loss of minerals. In the process of aluminum ore processing, the mineral is broken and crushed to less than 1mm grade. The concentration of sodium hydroxide and high temperature and high pressure are added. After the above process, the gravel is removed together with the slurry that has been precipitated by the primary concentration. Anionic polyacrylamide flocculants was added to the primary concentration pool. The red mud thickener will processed by underflow through an inverse return process of settlement. At this time, the anionic polyacrylamide flocculants is used again to promote rapid settlement and to get the required clarification overflow. The primary concentrating pool rich in aluminum is filtered, and after cooling (48 hours), the hydrates are filled with aluminum to promote the precipitation of three hydrates of the aluminum.
